Hi all! My name is Gabriela and I am the new Special Projects worker at posAbilities. I’m here for the summer working in the Communications department with my lovely and incredibly talented supervisors Monique Nelson and Justine Chubb.

I’d like to tell you a bit more about who I am and what my goals are at posAbilities. I also wanted to write this because I figured everyone around the office is probably wondering who that new girl walking around is and why she keeps treating herself to your coffee. Well, to answer any questions you may have about me, I am a Communications major at SFU with a deep interest in writing, marketing and digital engagement. Some of the things I like to do include, tweeting, listening to rap music and making puns (even if they are just plain awful).

I hope to bring some of my creativity and humour to the content I develop and share at posAbilities. I can’t wait to start learning and collaborating with the incredible people at this organization. The projects I have already started working on are web development and the Summer 2016 newsletter. So far, I’ve learned how to update our website by using the back-end of WordPress, pretty techy right? I’ve also begun to develop content for our upcoming newsletter which is going to be filled with incredible stories this year, so stay tuned!

I feel extremely lucky to be a part of an organization that does such great and rewarding work and I’m very excited to see how my projects for this term come together. If you see me around feel free to come chat with me!
