This has truly been a success story for Laura, Michael, the staff of Stratosphere Hair Salon and their customers.

This talented team includes the best you can find in hair stylists and esthetician services however there are two individuals who boost Stratosphere’s unique customer service standard by keeping the salon looking polished at all times. Meet Laura and Michael, two of Stratosphere’s newest star employees!

When Laura began her job search, a Hair Salon was the last place she envisioned herself. Laura’s past experience included working for the Blood Bank and working with animals. When Laura was presented this job opportunity she was a little hesitant. Laura’s Employment Specialist highlighted her transferrable skills and pointed out that these lined up with most of the duties that were required for this position. Laura agreed to give it a shot!

According to Stratosphere owner Adam Cameron; Laura was quite shy when she started out. As she became more and more comfortable with her role and her fellow employees, Laura’s confidence blossomed with some fierce style. Now Laura is an important part of the Stratosphere team.  She maintains the cleanliness of the salon and delivers excellent customer service to the salon guests offering them tea or coffee when they’ve comfortably been seated, adding a personal touch.

Stratosphere’s other star employee is a gentle and soft spoken man named Michael. It didn’t take much when this opportunity was presented to Michael, he was open to the experience of learning how to maintain the cleanliness of the salon, greet the guests and make sure they are comfortable.

One barrier was taking transportation independently however with a little bit of assistance; Michael quickly learned how to take the bus to and from work and was well on his way to quickly becoming a integral part of the Stratosphere team.  Michael’s Father shared that, Michael has been enjoying his new job so much that he counts the days for the pleasure of going back to work again. Michael’s confidence has improved and he is proud to be receiving a pay check.
