Through diversity, we become stronger
Demands for Community Living services continue to rise in British Columbia while government struggles to balance the provincial budget. We remain committed to serving the communities in which we have established programs and take pride in developing new services in areas where gaps exist on a community or regional level. However, we are anticipating funding reductions once again this year. By diversifying our funding sources, we can continue to deliver the flexible and responsive services that our communities ask for.
The need for individual programming dictates specialized funding assistance at many junctures. Examples include: creating more secure living arrangements for individuals by purchasing homes or apartment units, funding our transportation needs, employment services, additional life skills spaces, parenting support and other programs that bring meaning and autonomy to individuals with developmental challenges.
Your support is valuable to us and has a direct and positive impact on the quality of life of our persons served. Thank you for your contribution!
You can help too.
There are many ways that you can contribute to achieving our goals:
Corporate Support: Sponsorship, Donations, Volunteers
You can sponsor events, program modules, training and or symposia that familiarize communities and individuals with posAbilities’ and your own company’s services and products.
Cash or Credit Card Donations
Contact our office at (604) 299-4001 or drop off/mail your donation to 4664 Lougheed Highway, Suite 240 , Burnaby BC V5C 2C5.
Designate our not-for-profit as a beneficiary
posAbilities can be the beneficiary of insurance policies, demutualized shares, bonds, stocks, real estate and share purchases.
A Pledge
You can designate donations to specific posAbilities programs over a long-term via a pledge and an initial donation. posAbilities will use these pledges to stimulate additional donations. It is very valuable that an organization can predict its financial outcomes with a number of pledges because they are assured donations. Secondly, being a lead donor you can convince other organizations and individuals by example of the value of such a donation.
Monthly giving
Through your bank account or using Electronic Funds Transfer online, you can designate a fixed monthly donation for a year or more to support programs of posAbilities.
Capital pledges
You can donate to posAbilities home purchase program. This assures a secure and safe long-term environment for people with blocks to regular housing. We will customize homes and adapt the building to the use of people with physical and other challenges.
Gifts in Kind
Gifts in Kind may mean a donation of new computer equipment, advertising in a publication or media outlet you work with at no cost, using your own regular mailings for a mail insert from posAbilities or providing services and products.
