BUILDING SUPPORT NETWORKS
Learn from others who have successfully built support networks around persons with disabilities.
This one day workshop is geared to families, self advocates and support workers.
• Learn about the concept of a personal support network;
• Hear success stories from other areas of the province and contribute your own ideas and
stories;
• Network with others in your community and learn about networking opportunities;
• Generate solution-oriented steps and strategies for expanding relationships.

WHERE: BACI Still Creek Center: 2702 Norland Avenue, Burnaby,V5B 3A6. (Corner of Douglas and Norland. Free parking.)

The workshop is supported by a grant from CLBC and lunch will be provided by the host agencies, posAbilities and BACI.

About the Presenters:
Aaron Johannes and Susan Stanfield are Co-Directors of Spectrum Society for Community Living in Vancouver, B.C.
They were the project leaders for Spectrum’s demonstration project on building personal support networks and have worked
extensively with individuals and families to develop inclusive, community-based supports over the past twenty years.
